Meet TV5's Confessions of a Torpe Cast and Character

On Monday, March 3 at 7:30PM, TV5 premieres its newest comedy and romantic primetime series yet entitled "Confessions of a Torpe".

The series follows the story of Christopher “Tupe” Matacutin (played by Ogie Alcasid), a 40 year old certified torpe (and virgin) who becomes a victim of a family curse. Because of theirkatorpehan, all men in Tupe’s family remain a bachelor. The same goes for Tupe who, despite being the perfect gentleman, cannot make his move to win the heart of his muse: the gorgeous, God’s gift to mankind, Monique Salcedo (Alice Dixson).

Hoping to “break the curse” like him is his nephew from Croatia, Hanley Kubrick (Mark Neumann). Despite spending most of his teenage years in the abroad, he is very shy around girls. And while Hanley stays here in the country, Tupe must help him overcome his katorpehan so that both of them can break away from their curse.

Stakes get higher as Tupe’s love-of-his-life, Monique, returns to the Philippines to try her luck on something she has never been successful before – love. While this gives Tupe another shot at romance, things will not be easier as his number one bully, Peter ‘Mr. Big’ Malaqui (Wendell Ramos), also returns to terrorize him once again. Fortunately, Tupe finds comfort in Luzvinda ‘Luz’ Mabuti (Gelli de Belen), his best friend and forever confidante who also secretly has feelings for him.

Will Tupe win Monique’s heart? Is he the long overdue romance destined for Monique? And what about Luz? Will she ever be able to confess her feelings for Tupe? Who will end up victorious in this comic story of failed attempts on love and romance?

Tupe Catacutan (Ogie Alcasid)

No girlfriend since birth ang 40-year old torpe na si Tupe. Lumaki kasi sa overprotective na ina at binubully pa nung high school. Pero muling magugulo ang kanyang mundo sa pagdating ng kanyang torpe ring pamangkin na si Hanley… at sa muling pagbabalik ng kanyang high school dreamgirl na si Monique!

Hanley Kubrick (Mark Neumann)

Si Hanley ang pamangkin ni Tupe na lumaki sa Croatia, pero sa kasamaang-palad ay namana niya pa rin ang sumpang katorpehan ng mga Catacutan. Ipapadala siya sa Pilipinas kung saan makakasama niya ang torpeng tito na si Tupe, at mabibighani sa magandang pamangkin ni Luz na si Lovely!

Monique Salcedo (Alice Dixson)

High school pa lang, si Monique na ang crush ng bayan. Dahil maganda, matalino, at mabait, she’s the girl every boy loves and whom every girl secretly hates. Ang kanyang pagbabalik mula Amerika ten years after high school graduation ang bubulabog sa mundo ng ating torpe!

Luzviminda “Luz” Mabuti (Gelli De Belen)

Si Luz ang valedictorian ng kanilang batch nina Tupe at Monique. Biniyayaan siya ng sobrang talino, pero unfortunately, hindi ng kagandahan. Ang tanging lalakeng mabait sa kanya ay ang kapitbahay at kababata na si Tupe… na kanyang secret love.

Adonis Panti (Bayani Agbayani)

Si Adonis ang isa sa life-long bestfriends ni Tupe. Pero kung anong torpe ni Tupe, siya namang tapang ng apog ni Adonis! Magaganda lang ang nililigawan niya, kahit forever rejected, dahil ang katwiran niya: at least maganda ang nambasted, kaysa pangit na nga, olats pa rin!

Santo Luis (Jojo Alejar)

Si Santo ang other half ng loser combo na laging kasama ni Tupe. Pero kung anong ikinabuti ng pangalan niya, siya namang pagka-nega niya sa buhay! Pero kung kaibigan na totoo ang hanap mo, si Santo ang para sa ‘yo!

Lovely Mabuti (Shaira Mae)

True to her name, maganda na nga, mabait pa ang pamangkin ni Luz! Kung si Monique ang heartthrob noon, si Lovely naman ang campus crush ngayon. Kaya di nakakagulat na siya ang pupukaw sa torpeng puso ni Hanley!

Peter Malaqui (Wendell Ramos)

Si Peter ang number one bully sa buhay ni Tupe noong high school… at ngayon ay boss rin ng ating torpeng bida sa pinapasukan nitong architecture firm. Sa pagbabalik ni Monique, siya ang rin magiging matinding karibal ni Tupe!
