The official full-length trailer of the romantic comedy film "Diary ng Panget" starring Pinoy Big Brother winner James Reid and Nadine Lustre of 'Pop Girls' quickly went viral after being released on Thursday, March 22.
The three-minute and one second video introduces the love-hate relationship between a simple working student Eya Rodriguez (Nadine Lustre) and a rich heartthrob Cross Sandford (James Reid).
Forced to work as the Sandford's household help, Eya slowly forms an unlikely friendship with Cross, much to the ire of her fellow students.
Alongside the lead stars are teen actress Yassi Pressman ("Kaleidoscope World") and Andre Paras, son of PBA superstar-turned TV actor Benjie Paras.
As of writing, the full-length trailer, as well as an earlier teaser, has already garnered over more than two million views on YouTube.
"Diary of Panget" is based on a best-selling book of the same name by HaveYouSeenThisGirl (a pen name) in 2011, which debuted online via Wattpad and later on published and distributed by Viva-PSICOM Publishing Corp.
Directed by Andoy Ranay ("When the Love is Gone") and written by Mel del Rosario ("Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy," "A Secret Affair"), the romantic comedy film is set to hit theaters nationwide on April 2.
