The Voice of the Philippines returns this summer featuring kids aged eight to 14 years old in the highly-anticipated The Voice Kids to be hosted by award-winning TV show host Luis Manzano and season one V-Reporter Alex Gonzaga.
Returning as coaches are Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo, Prince of Rock Bamboo, and Broadway Diva Lea Salonga. The show’s unique format extremely appealed to Filipino viewers, especially its "blind auditions" where hopefuls auditioned by singing on stage with the coaches facing against them.
The Voice Kids will air on ABS-CBN soon. Singer - Comedian Mitoy Yonting is the very first winner of the ABS-CBN franchise of the worldwide hit reality singing show in 2013.
Enchong Dee and Liza Soberano will be paired for the first time in ABS-CBN’s “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Saturday (April 5).
Kim Chiu, Coco Martin, Jake Cuenca and Julia Montes will treat the viewers of ABS-CBN’s teleserye “Ikaw Lamang” this Sunday, April 6 as they launch the official soundtrack of their drama series 'Timeless Masterpieces from Ikaw Lamang' at Trinoma Activity Center at 4PM.
Produced by Star Records, “Ikaw Lamang Official Soundtrack” features the theme songs of the series’ plus the images of well-loved characters Samuel (Coco), Isabelle (Kim), Mona (Julia) and Franco (Jake) on the cover.
The CD track includes, “Ikaw Lamang” by Gary Valenciano, “Panaginip” by Erik, “Somewhere” by Angeline, “Sa Aking Pag-iisa” by Juris, “Pangako” by Jovit Baldivino, “Pers Lab” by Marion, and KZ Tandingan’s version of “Somewhere.”
Meanwhile don’t miss “Ikaw Lamang” every weeknights after “Dyesebel” on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.
Because Anne Curtis “can buy you, your friends, and this Oceania!,” controversial celebrity Claudine Barretto is set to stage her big showbiz comeback this year via 'Dyesebel'. Baretto may finally return as a Kapamilya through a cameo role in Anne Curtis' 'dyesebel' as 'Marina' and is set to do two movies this year.
ABS-CBN finally launched its 2014 summer station ID on Sunday.
"PINASmile: Masayang Muli ang Kwento ng Summer Natin," is the title of the new Kapamilya station ID that "aims to promote the Philippines as a unique travel destination that takes pride in the beauty of each region, the country's colorful culture and, of course, the stories behind the unique and infectious smiles of Pinoys," ABS-CBN said in a statement.
"Sa Pilipinas, may kwento ang bawat smile."

The theme song of the station ID was performed by teen stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.

The hosts for the upcoming season of Pinoy Big Brother this summer has finally revealed by Direk Laurenti Dyogi through #AskDirek hangout on Twitter on Thursday night.
ABS-CBN's Teen King & Queen: Daniel Padilla & Kathryn Bernardo sung the Kapamilya Summer Theme Song for 2014 with title, "PINASmile."
The five-minute clip behind-the-scenes at the recording was released on Wednesday and was uploaded on ABS-CBN's YouTube page showing the onscreen couple singing their parts in the tune about the constant smiles on Filipinos' faces "whatever comes."
"PINASmile" texts were written by ABS-CBN's Team CCM -- Robert Labayen, Lloyd Oliver Corpuz, Christer Salire, Revbrain Martin, Jill Cabradilla-Aspiras, Mark Raywin Tome, and Christine Daria Estabillo.
Its music was composed, arranged and produced by Bojam and Thryo of FlipMusic. It was mixed and mastered by Bojam and RB Barbaso. Nica del Rosario played acoustic guitars.

Are you ready to know who they are?
A Comedy Mystery Horror Suspense novel "Lumayo Ka Nga sa Akin” for the first time with Heart Evangelista, Anne Curtis and Maricel Soriano under Viva Films and to be helmed by Wenn Deramas.
This will become a big reunion for Diamond Star Maricel Soriano and Blockbuster Director Direk Wenn Deramas after last year's Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy (with Vice Ganda).
This film will also serve as Anne and Heart's reunion project since ABS-CBN's primetime series "Hiram" in 2004.
“Lumayo Ka Nga sa Akin” is Bob Ong’s most recent bestseller, shooting to the top of the bestseller lists instantly upon its release in December 2011. It’s a laugh-out-loud comedy that pokes delirious fun at mainstream Philippine cinema, specifically the type of commercial fare that studios like Viva have been making.
For me, besides from tuning into pinoy drama series every night, Filipinos also enjoys TV shows that promoting talents moreover to those TV shows that 'features' or 'featured' pinoy talents and pinoy personalities. Do you agree?
To give you a little #Throwback of this, let's recall those Pinoy prides that had drawn filipino viewers attention to internetional shows and reformed Philippine TV experience into something more interesting and fullfilling these past years.
Let's start with 'Glee'!
Charice Pempengco
Charice joined the hit US television series 'Glee' as Sunshine Corazon, the exchange student from the Philippines who presents serious competition against lead character Rachel Berry. This happened after her being dubbed by Oprah Winfrey as "The Most Talented Girl in the World".
Jessica Sanchez
Considered by many as one of the 'Best Fil-Am Idol', this 16 year old (that time) from Season 11 faced Philip Philips in the finale. She attempted to become the first Asian to be crowned American Idol, the youngest AI champion and the girl to break the show’s four-year consistent, all-male winner streak.
Sanchez then made her first ever TV series appearance via 'Glee' in Season 4: All or Nothing episode and appeared briefly in the episode Lights Out as Frida Romero, the lead vocalist of the glee club The Hoosierdaddies, a year after her stint at American Idol.
Fil-Am R&B singer who made it 'almost' in Season 5. Judges Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul gave him a spot in the second semi-final rounds BUT he was eliminated before the finals.
Zhar Santos or Sharon Galvez
Smokey Mountain singer Zhar Santos appeared in the AI's 4th season. She reached the Hollywood rounds before being cut in the Top 24 selection.
Camile Velasco
From Hawaii, Camile went on to become one of Season 3’s two Fil-Am finalists (with Jasmine Trias) and ended her AI journey in the 9th spot.
Thia Megia
16 year old that time, lauded for her performances but was criticized for always selecting ballads, and was voted off in the 4th elimination round of the finals.
Jasmine Trias
Also from Hawaii, Jasmine placed 3rd in Season 3, the highest place for a Fil-Am before Jessica Sanchez in eleventh season.
After Idol, Trias flew in Philippines and did TV shows, commercials and billboard ads. She even recorded 'Love Ko 'To' promotional single for McDonalds.
Ramiele Malubay
The only Fil-Am that showed the most Pinoy flavor after confessing Regine Velasquez as her favorite performer.
Malaya Watson
And this year, another Fil-Am is now making buzz in the 13th Season of American Idol.
Watson, whose name means free in Filipino, received a standing ovation from the judges after her performance of the song “I Am Changing” from the Broadway play-turned-movie “Dreamgirls” made her safe in Thursday night’s elimination round.
