Kris Aquino cuts hair short over heartache; Herbert Bautista called it quits

Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista had given up his promising romance with tv host-actress Kris Aquino, according to veteran entertainment columnist Ricky Lo.

It was on April 7 that Kris Aquino admitted on national TV that she has been dating the actor-turned-politician Herbert Bautista. And now after two weeks it is over?

In his column for the Philippine Star on Tuesday, Lo wrote "It was a work that didn’t progress, trashing speculation that everything was “politically-motivated” even if Kris insisted that she didn’t have any political plans for 2016 whether national, regional or local, although she added that she wasn’t sure yet what would happen in 2019. Herbert is on his third and last term as QC mayor and he’ll surely run for reelection, with an eye on the Senate in 2019."

According to Lo, "The situation is simply much too complicated."

"Kris has two sons, Joshua and Bimby; while Herbert has five by two women, neither of whom he married, although his current partner (in private and in politics) Tates Gana, who has stuck with him for almost two decades as the wind beneath his wings, is generally accepted as Q.C.’s First Lady. With his marriage to James Yap annulled, Kris is legally single again."

The source told Lo that Bautista's two kids with partner of 20-years are affected by reports that their father is now dating Aquino, which they only learned about from headlines.

On Monday, Aquino debuted her new, short hairstyle during the live airing of her late night showbiz talk show "Aquino & Abunda Tonight," with Boy Abunda hinting that the change was over a heartache.

When her co-host Boy Abunda noted that her short hair is very timely, considering the summer season, Aquino quipped, "Pag may pinagdadaanan ka, it's appropriate."

Asked by Abunda if she is going through something, Aquino answered, "Tapos na. Time for a change."

Without mentioning anything specific, Abunda pressed Aquino to confirm whether it meant something is over, to which she replied: "Ayaw ko na ng heartache, 'yun lang."
